Default Prairie 700 belt on Prairie 650

I remember reading somewhere a little while back that the P700 belt would work on the P650 and were a little stronger. Is that true? Can I put an 05 P700 belt on an 02 P650? Can it still be pried / turned on or do I have to remove a flywheel.

Thanks

I did it on my 02 650,the 700 belt is a better quality belt (IMO)I don`t even know if they sell the 650 belt anymore.

FYI: I gained 1 mph with the P700 belt installed on my P650.

BTW, I think its true that Kaw. stopped making the P650 belt.

Like the others have said, yes you can. I would also look to the aftermarket, they are QUALITY belts and they will cost you far less than the factory.
Good luck

I don't have anything against Dayco and I've never actually tried one myself...but I would suggest you stick to OEM belts b/c several folks on atv forums have reported that cogs have broken off the dayco belts for the P650/P700. I don't know if Dayco has gotten that problem resolved by now or not.
