Still no limp mode....
I've got 103 hrs on my 03 650 and still no limp mode. I know how to reset it and i know my belt is well with in speck, only 1 .6mm shim. Over 1,000 miles on the quad also. I sure hope it don't come on rideing at the knolls on the 30th, goin with some yamacrap bud's they sure would get a kick outa the mighty p gimpin down the trail.
Anyone else have this problem? LOL maybe kawi forgot to program my limp mode.

The 100 hour checkup is not limp mode , it is suppose to trip the belt light to remind you to get it checked, but the belt light should have came on and it might still come on some of them seem to be a little slower are tripping than others but if you have every reset you light before then that may have reset the 100 hour check light.

Still no limp mode....
I know what your saying. I was riding with 3 grizzlies and a polaris when my kicked into limp mode. I was sure happy I had the dyna CDI in because it kept full power. They never knew anything happend or I would have never heard the end of it. I never said a word and reset it when I got home That would have been ammo for them to say I cant even go for a ride without having to do maintance out on the trail. Then they would tell all there friends how unreliable Kawasaki is. I can hear it now.

I have a 2003 650 also and I had the same problem but at 103 hours,my 650 went into limp mode and the light never came on! When I got home,I checked the switch under the CVT cover and that was fine,I did trip the switch myself to make sure it worked and it does,I went to NYROC'S web site and downloaded the info on how to re-set the belt light by switching around the wires and I got that all set....my problem now is...the 650 is still running with a lack of power.

i think ive got around 120 hours on mine and still no limp mode. i accidently tripped it myself once but other than that ive had no problems.
cleve...did you reconnect the wires to the right color when you were done, and hook that little two wire connector back up? also does it backfire and sputter when you try to go fast? and if it does sputter or anything while going forward check to see if the reverse light comes on when it does it. when mine was still pretty new (4) hours maybe, mine done that. when i would be in high or low the reverse light would blink on and off a few times and it would sputter and backfire, it hasnt done it since though. also check to see if anything is blocking your airbox snorkle.
