BF 750 belt issues...
#1
Hey guys just curious as to how well yours/others BF 750 belts are holding up. I went muddin with a grizz and when I was pulling him out I fried my belt. Wondering how much it takes to burn one off/out? Any aftermarket belts that are stronger?
Thanks for any reply's.

I have 1800++ miles on mine and it is STILL within factory spec for play / tightness.
As others hve stated, use LOW gear as much as possible. Anytime I am going to be traveling uner 20mph for any period of time I use low gear. Always!!!!
Do that and keep the belt dry and it can last for a LONG time!

Yeah I guess I should have explained the situation abit more. I was in reverse when it happend. Also, I had the whole winch line out to get at his quad. And I had to pull him up a hill on an angle. I think all these combined added up for to much stress on the belt causing it to slip and burn out.

I wish reverse was geared like low range. Would make things so much better.

I hear that reverse is the belt's weakness... I've heard several that broke a belt pulling somebody out in reverse... so try to tow people going foward or try and let the winch do the work and you shouldn't have any problems.

yeah, the CVT machines dont pull well in reverse, once the belt gets worn in pulling a load going a certain direction they don't like to change. That and the reverse isnt geared as low as low range, like bertram said. Your best bet is to slap her in 4 wheel and lock the front diff and pull that way.

i had the same type of pulling situation, but i just put it in neutral and locked up the brakes and let the winch due the work. i'm at 300 or so miles, no belt problems, and i plan to put on 300-400 more miles when we hit HM trails in a week or so.
