Moly Grease????
Just a quick probably stupid question, When putting driven pulley back together after shimming it requires Moly Grease. Is any grease that says Moly grease suitable for the job or should I specifically use they hyodu kushi (or something like that) that is talked about in the service manual. Thanks for help in advance. Just some impressions from a first timer removing the driven pulley. 2004 Prairie belt removal as Nyroc outlines was a little tighter than I had anticipated. Look like the pulley scuffed up the belt some on the way off, doesn't appear to be a big deal though. Driven pulley nut came off easy, pulley came off easy, however shaft had some light rust on it 49 hours on the Bike, no mud, never any deep water over floorboards. 1.0 was shim that was on the pulley already. Every thing else has gone fairly smooth the only special tool that I used was the spring compressor. Will let ya'll know how it goes back together.

Moly Grease????
Prairie:Your better off using the better high pressure moly, the one for wheel bearings instead of u-joints.If your
doing alot of mudding, going thru. water than a marine type moly might be best.As far as that rust spot, I to had
one when I removed my pully, go ahead and use some light grit Emory Cloth and lightly sand it off,if you don't
pitting will occur and wear a groove there.slatther grease on stem but, not to much there's a vent hole in front of
spindle and this should not be blocked by grease. hope this helps!
