how effective are outerwear covers?

Default how effective are outerwear covers?

will removing the airbox lid and using an outwear cover over the k&n be safe when it comes to keeping out dust water etc. is it worth the power gains. thanks

i did it and i dont have my outerwear yet and i go thru mud up to the shift lever and my tires spin like crazy when im in it and pritty much no mud got on the filter but what i would do is get a 2 stage uni pod because the second stage on the uni is almost like an outerwear and it can be taken off the filter and cleaned so if you get a outerwear and a 2 stage uni you will have dubble protection.............the outerwears are nice too becasue they just wipe off with water...........it is definatly worth the power gains but you will need to order some bigger jets from dyno jet
