engine breaking & oil changing
i recently purchased my 1st quad a 2005 kft700. so far i am really happy, but i only really plan on doing mostly trail riding in the mountains during the summer b/c its just too hot to ride in the desert during the summer in phoenix, arizona. my question, is there any way to reduce or get rid of the engine breaking, it really stinks especially at slower speeds when riding with the girlfriend. it makes the bike really jumpy when going over rocks and other things small. i am also getting ready to make the 1st oil change and was told not to use a synthetic oil by a shop because of slippage. is there any prob with sythentic oil and how about even using a synthetic deisel oil due to the heat and the way the engine does run hot ? thanks for any help

I have two Vforce 700. The dealer I bought them from only uses sythentic oil . The slippage is only if you have a clutch. No clutch no problem. I believe the motor runs smoother after changing to synthentic. I use amsoil 0w-40. I have heard of people useing diesel oil but I perfer oil that was made for ATVs.

havinfuninaz , Looks like it's hard to find people who know what their talking about. After break in use synthetic oil its the best. You cau reduce engine breaking by going to a different main spring. Like EPI has a RED spring that will help. It engages at a higher rpm I think about 3200rpms. This will also give u less engine breaking.
