i think the garmin e-trex is your best bet, their inexpesive and have enough features to get the job done and then some.........they sell them at walmart for 88.50 or somthing like that and garmin even makes an atv mount kit for it. Im thinking of getting one my self soon

What do you want it for? Cache hunting or following the little man back to camp? I have an etrex vista, it's outdated by the next garmin up which has a big color screen and lots of memory. It's great and I'm going to get one when the price comes down. Be sure to get the 12 volt plug-in because they eat up batteries.
The problem with my vista is the track looks too much like a contour line, hard to see in certain lighting (or no lighting). Sounds like the low end etrex as mentioned above for 88.50 is what you want if price is the only object.....no offense. This is a good time of the year to get one, maybe next month is better. I got mine thru '4x4 gps' on google search.
