First Atv pulls Sat...... HELP!!!
If the dealership finishes my front end rebuild Sat morning I am planning to enter my 1st event that evening. I not only have not done this before I haven't even witnessed one before. I need all the help I can get in a very little amount of time.
I guess at this stage of the game the only variables I can change on such short notice is how much weight and where it is distributed and riding/launch style.
Thanx Guys
Chris

First Atv pulls Sat...... HELP!!!
My dynatek CDI worked fine until my first sled pull....got a refund from dynatek.
The guy that always wins ours weighs 400#, has a winch and Montana Jack receivers front and rear, pulls in 4wd, opens throttle slowly to wot about 20' from start. WEIGHT RULES!
Good luck on your pull. Lot of strain on drive train though, including belt. If the wheels don't move when you punch it, you will burn your belt. I don't sled pull anymore. The bombs and polaris' have built in advantage (weight/cc's). Hope you post back showing me wrong.

First Atv pulls Sat...... HELP!!!
Well the pull was a lot of fun. I was allowed to enter in both 2wd and 4wd classes. In both classes I could weigh 1200 lbs but I wasn't able to aquire much weight before the 2wd pull. I took third behind a Pol 800 and a yahmaha. I loaded up nearer my max for the 4wd event and outpulled the Pol by 1 ft for the win.
Nothing broken and my pocket is a little heavier but I doubt I will do this very often if ever again. Drag racing is more my thing.
