According to Micky at FST, Mike Penland and Scott Kilby won't race Kawi Praries nect year at the GNCC races but will be racing the new Bomb 800. Looks like Bomb is doing whatever they can to promote the new 800. I guess will see if it will be reliable as GNCC racing put these quads to the max.

Well Kawi dropped their gncc program right? You can't blame a guy for going where the money is at and I assume they will be under a contract with some security. I mean riding the Kawi the only money they got was from their winnings and maybe some associate sponsors. So in this case they get to ride a competitive (probably to say the least) machine and make more money doing it. You gotta look at it that Kawi quit on them when they pulled the plug, not that they quit on Kawi.

I hate to see Mike and Scott switch brands but it is easy to see why Kawie dropped the GNCC program , they are not going to sell any quads from off of a series such as that, I used to sell Kawies and Bombs and 99% of real world ATV buyers have never heard of the GNCC or Mike Penland , from Kawie , they did it to help the little guy but at some point you have to spend the money where it will make you more money, now its time to see if the Bombs can beat the kawies which have and do dominate the utility classes. Mike Penland is a class act and I wish him well on what ever he races.

I got to agree with 2000mohavie and jeffro31. It's not their fault Penland racing has done as much for Kawasaki as anyone ever. It's because of them that the 650 and 700P's are now considered to be one of the top quads ever made. I mean if your a mechanic or electrician and your company closes you are gonna go work for someone else. I wish them well and hope they kick the crap out of everyone. I don't know what Kawasaki was thinging but who ever made the decision to shut down the GNCC program needs a good swift kick in the butt. If Kawi is hurting for money that bad then fire that guy.
