1/2 second intervals = KEB actuator or it's wireing
1 second intervals = 4 wheel drive actuator or it's wireing
1-1/2 second intervals = both.
Take apart all connectors and clean them. Coat with die electric grease and see iff that helps. The connectors get corroded sometimes.
This is getting to be a reoccurring problem on the Kawi's
Hope this helps.
If you still have warrinty the actuators are warrinty items.

it is supposed to come on and flash every 100 hours so you will have to inspect the belt. just disconnect the plugs on starbor side and switch them for a minute with key off. what i mean by that is unplug them and then reconnect the opposite plugs together for a minute then reconnect.and turn key on and see if it still flashes..

I think that would be the belt check light and not the 4x4 2x4 lights. Also on the 100 belt check light you have to switch the plug under the seat also.

I also have heard this is an actuator problem which I have on my P700 too. Did arkyriderone's suggestions help? Mine does this occasionally only, usually on a steep decline it starts doing it, so I need to go on a ride this weekend and time the intervals plus doing arky's suggestions. BTW when I shut off the key, there is no flashing when I start it up again. Does your's flash constantly, every time you start it up?

If you find the problem, let us know, and I'll do the same.

i tried all the suggestions and nothin seems to work my lite flashes only when the bike is in motion but when i swap the control modulefrom my buddys bike the flashes when i start the bike but it flashes every .5 seconds so i put my module back in and it went back to flashing every second and only when its moving ive pulled every connector apart and cleaned and put dilect grease in every connector and nothin helps so im thinkin its the control module so im gonna just bite the bullet and buy the module and try it 350.00(ouch) wish me luck
