If I were you Kawi owners, I would ban together even just from this forum. I would send a letter threatening a class action suit. Loss of enjoyment, depreciation etc., etc. It will work. Demand the parts. They may just send them specifically to the dealers for the members mentioned in the letter. Demand it, then follow through on the threat if not delivered in a timely manner. One of you needs to contact a lawyer. Most will do this pro-bono, and Kawasaki will have to pay the attorneys fees.

I'd like to see what transpires from this incident. I'd say Kawasaki is in the clear, but that's just from a few scant statements from a web page. All we need is for the CPSC to get wind of this one, too............

Funny, I got a call this morning that my dealership got 8 kits in for the P400. Im bringing it in Tommorrow and he said they are getting quicker at doing them and I might have it back that same day, or Tuesday at the very latest. I wont talk anymore about trading it in, I need to go apologize to it now.....

If my brother went 175 MPH in a Corvette and slammed into a bridge abuttment I would feel bad as Hell for him and his family, but it wouldn't be Chevy's fault!!!!!!!!!!! No means No! DO NOT RIDE THE QUAD OR YOU MIGHT GET KILLED! guess what, they were right.

if he had read the letter that it was recalled and then still rode, that is a problem an in Kawasaki's favor....although we know how courts work, they will say he could have been killed anytime before that also....so Kawasaki will ending paying if a lawsuit is filed....
but what did he die from? doesn't say in the article if it was from the crash, his chest/heart problems, or anything...i guess an autopsy will tell
