Has any hard-core Kawa riders gone to their dealers and placed a deposit on a 650? I know the demand will be high, even with the usual naysayers warning not to buy a new quad in the first year. Just wondering who has "just gotta have one".

I have to sit on one first. I am hoping it is not as tank like such as the Grizzly. I want to have some trail flickability. I know it is not going to be as nimble as my Y2Kodiak but I will be keeping it anyway. Some where between a Kodiak and a Grizzly would be nice.

Go sit on a Prairie 400 4X4 it should be almost the same from what I hear.
I have a 400 4X4 and it is defanantly much more agel (SP) than the Grizzely.

Today at lunch stopped by the locala Kawasaki-Polaris-Suzuki shop. I asked the salesman if they had started taking deposits on the new Kawi big bore. He had to check with the boss, eventually he came back & told me they were not taking them at this time.

The local dealers doesn't have any more info than we have on this forum. They are talking about a spring delivery.

The ATV club I belong to managed to get Kawi to give us a sneek preview of the 650. What a nice machine ! Not to much bigger than the 300/400 Prairie's, but there is a noticible difference. I own a Prairie 300 4x4 and a Grizzly. The 300 is constant four wheel drive which makes it a little tougher to steer than the Grizzly ( which allows you to select 2 or 4 wheel) I believe the 650 will have this option.
If I was in the market for a brand new Big bore, It would be a toss up between the 650 or the Griz,
Although the Kawi is going to be about $1K more.
