Default Timing Advance Keys?

I am thinking about buying a 6 degree timing advance key for my 2004 kawasaki 360 Prairie. My dad told me if I put and advance in I might get a valve tap. Has any one with a timing advance key gotten a valve tap? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

6 degrees is fairly standard, but you might want to verify that your quad will work that that advance. You will need to run 91 octane or you will get predetonation.

What do you mean by "valve tap"?

I have never heard of someone putting it in the 360. I think that would be a bad move for that engine. If you want more low end, put a clutch kit in, jet and pipe it, or just clutch it. You will see major changes with a clutch kit installed.
