Default Prairie Clutch after getting Wet

I rode the Blue **** Poker Run this Weekend and had a great time. About 2miles from the end of the ride there is a huge mud hole. I started playing around in this hole thats really more like a pond and made it through the shallow parts only a 1 1/2 foot deep. I even pulled out a Polaris Sportsman (suprise). On about the 5th time through in a different spot I hadn't been through before I submarined it up to the front rack. It was tilted at an angle so the air intake and exhaust stayed high and dry. Unfortunately The last time I had the Belt cover off I didn't put the gasket back in right so it leaked fairly bad. By the time I got a winch line to me It had filled up. Once I got out the belt was really slipping but I got it dryed out enogugh to finish the ride. Then I spent about an hour going through the clutch on sunday with a toothbrush and a bucket of water. Don't have it put back together yet but has anyone had problems with their clutches after getting them wet? I don't just mean water either there was a coating of mud on everthing in there. During this ride a grizzly and a rubicon got stuck in the same place also so I didn't feel bad.
Thanks,
Strings

The engine brake gets cranky when wet. Look for burn marks on your belt. The clutch system really drys well so you should be ok, just watch that dry mud acts like sandpaper.

I really cleaned that whole area out really well. So there shouldn't be much if any mud left in there. I also checked my belt and it looks pretty straight. One other thing I learned from this ride is that I want more responce out of my Prairie. So i'm going to put in a Black EPI Secondary Clutch Spring, TwinAir Filter, Dyno Jet Jet Kit, and A 6 degree advance timing key. I figured with all of this It should make that sluggich 360 a little more peppy.

Hey Strings, I have the same machine and I just installed the dynojet kit the other day. What a difference it made. Much better throttle response and more grunt in the low to mid range power. Not much difference in the top end though. I have a K&N filter coming soon, hope that helps also.

Thanks for the feedback The dynojet jet kit is first on my list. I would suggest the twin air filter over the KaN for dirty envirments.
