06 Prairie 360 no downhill assist
Took my prairie out the other day and decended a steep hill. Bike just rolled and took off. I had it in 4-wheel drive and was used to the downhill assist lurching it down the hill. Took it to the shop and they said there were no flashing codes and everything was working properly for the engine braking. They said that they removed the cover and saw the arm depressing on the clutch. Before when decending steep hills, you could hear some kind of servo working as it slowed the wheels. Now wheels roll freely and motor revs as it decends, but no servo noise or slowing of wheels. Any ideas as to what to tell the dealer. Without actually decending a grade I have no way of showing them it is not working. Is the engine brake and the downhill assist two different systems. For instance when riding on level ground, releasing the throttle slows down the bike, but when decending hills, the wheels seem to lock and unlock controlling speed so as usually not even having to touch the brakes. It seems there is some sort of electric servo that kicks in to slow the wheels that makes a distinctive sound as it is working. Any help appreciated.
