Also, if you do get the 360, get the service manual for it. I found a new copy on ebay for $55 (my dealer wanted $75).

A comment about the belt, I've read that after 100 hours, the belt light comes on. My dealer said it was easy to reset the belt light. It probably comes on so you can have it inspected by someone to make sure the belt is still tight etc.. Others probably know more on this than me, but just wanted to mention it since you are deciding whether to get one or not. I don't regret my purchase at all. I drove the Honda, Yamaha, Polaris and Kawi before I made my decision.

My advice is to look around and test drive all that you can. I took advantage of the $69 plow offer (snows alot in SD). Good luck!

A 45 mph top end got monotonous on my Big Bear on the long logging roads very quickly. A Suzuki 400 Eiger is about the same price as a 360 and I know they can cruise comfortably at 50mph and has a low range when the going get tuff.

I Love the 360.

I beat the living **** out of mine for over two years. Dont worry, kept up with her. But this things was washed out twice, in deep water, rolled down the moutnain side where I did some rib, splean and kidney damage. BUT its like the little engine that could. Al that was damaged was the plastic got boggered up and theracks bent. Axles straight and everything tight. In fact, dealer looked at it and couldnt even tell it really rolled as much as I explained to him. I rode it hard for another year after that....its still going strong...

I still have it for the Mrs. and plowing snow. This is one tough, rugged machine. It will climb anything. The only reason I upgraded was for more speed and power.
It rides a little top heavy and it is slower than even a Yamaha Bruin 350. However, it has more bells and whistles than other machines in that cataroy and price range. Including the honda. The rear sealed brake, engine braking and variable locking front diff. are hard to find in that price range.

Dollar for Dollar, I'd put it up against any other machine in the 350/360 areana. Its even as good as most 400's. I do not think you could go wrong with this machine.

OK fellas- I'm leaning more and more to the 360. Once I get the Mojave put back together I'm trading it in. Sure I've entertained the idea of a leftover P700 but I'm leaning more to the ease of maintenance side and to be brutally honest- I only have 20 acres to poke around on, and the Lakota is quite enough for that always thought if the Lakota was only a 4x4 and CVT it would be perfect). Over this last snow on New Years 2006 I really coulda used a 4x4...........

Had mine for a year now. Pulled 4x8 trailers stacked with cord wood..(in low). Climbs well in low. More than enough power for a work machine but would be on the slow side if your running road like trails.

Bought an 06 360 for my son and I would have to say its a fun quad to ride on the trails it is true about the top speed but how often do most people go over 45 mph not that often for the most part.I put on a set of used 26 mudlites from a good friend of mine and lost about 7 mph top end put in a maroon spring in the primary and that helped back to about 41 and I am going to install the black secondary which will help as well even stock tires I would change the springs it just better for the belt only have about 100 miles on it since I bought it but no regrets in tight trails I have more fun then on my brute easy to throw around for the money a really good quad.

I purchased a 360 in 06 my fisrt 6 months had problems with it stalling when you came to a stop. Once it was figured that the exhust valve was to tight due to the Cal emissions standerd's. Was adjusted ,So far have not had any more problems, withover1900 miles on it.
It is great in low for pulling ,but top end in high is not realy there. One of the things I have come a cross is the belt doesn't go all the way out on the drive clutch.have been told this the way the manufacture has made this thing to work.
Get one and you will have fun times playing with it.

Okay guys- and this'll be the make or brake point on the deal- the dealer has P360 in the showroom and I think I can bend him over pretty good on it. Does anyone know if the Plastic from a P650/700 will fit the 360? I want that Kasawaki Lime Green, but I could live with an olive green one if it came to it.........

No, the bigger V-Twin models' plastics would not fit on this little one. Two are completely different frames.
