I just bought a 2004 prairie 360 4x4 and is it normal for the 4 wheel drive to take a little time to engage. It goes into 2wd rather quickly thanks

Hi, I have the '07 P360. It won't engage into 4 wd until the speed is over something like 3 mph if I recall. Yes it does often take about 1 - 2 seconds to engage and forever if you keep it below 3 mph.

That would not be good for rock crawling, where you use 4wd at 1-2mph.

Engage.... not run....it won't engage 4wd until all four wheels are rolling at this low speed, of couse once engaged, it stays engaged in 4wd at all speeds until you flick the switch back to 2wd.
