KFX700 2006 OIL IN BELT HOUSING (SLIPPING) HELP ANYBODY????
You have 2 things going on regarding your CVT belt.
The belt light is on because the internal timer has reached 100-hr. I assume the light is steady on, not flashing. It has nothing to do with the belt slipping you are experiencing. It's just a coincidence. You can reset later.
Here is what to do about the oil.
> Clean up oil residue on the crankcase side completely.
> Run the engine in neutral until you can exactly pin-point where the oil is leaking out.
> Crankshaft seal, transmission output shaft seal, top/bottom of the oil pipe fitting, etc are the possible source of the leak.
> After taking care of the oil leak, you will need to replace the oil contaminated belt (can't reuse it).
