apparently sitting most the winter wasn't the best thing for my 650. it won't go into 4wd and the speedometer quit working. it lights up but just reads 0mph. the battery was almost dead also, not enough juice to crank the engine.
could these problems be linked? and where is the best place to start looking?

 

1). Get a service manual.
2). Have a freshly charged battery.
3). Check speedo sensor - which must be functional in order for the 4WD system to work properly.
