Default Thirsty P650?!?

02 P650, previously posted a post inquiring about possible carb issue, see 4-13-08 at 0900hrs AM. I took the carbs apart and cleaned them with my handy neighbor. Jets were fine, carbs werent clogged. Have come to find that it still idles really nicely but spits and backfires on a good dose of throttle. If I run the throttle with the choke on it appears to run fine, but of course it chokes out on the idle.

The fuel filter is no where to be found!!! Is it an internal filter attached to the inside of the fuel pump?? Do I need to drop the entire rear plastics and rack to get to that?

Anyone with possible solutions and recomendations are appreciated!! Better yet any one in the new england area looking for a used 02 P650??????

It sounds like pilot circuit is OK but lean on mid-range and up. Shim the jet needles in the carbs.
