I have never been a big kawasaki person(for atv's) but the new 650 is tempting, i stopped to look at a prairie 400 and it doesnt look to bad, i really dont know anything about them though, i know the 650 will be different in some ways, but how are they for quality, like suspension and transmission and stuff, are they reliable, anyway thanks for the help

personally i love mine. I mena i would liek to be able to put in in 2 wheel drive but otherwise i htink it is a great quad. I have no probs with mine so far and i've had it almost 2 years. I have had it in some scary situations and shehas pulled through for me. I htink it is one of the best riding quads i have ever rode. Teh only thing is that it handles liek a cruise liner. Well that's kinda what it is. She has alot of power for being a smaller utility quad but heck it makes up in its lack of power in comfort

I have a "00" 400 4X4 with 600+ miles and my brother has a "99" 400 4X4 with 2700+ miles. No problems with either one. I'm looking to sell or trade mine for the 650, not for the power, but for the features.

I have a Prairie 300 4x4 and have had some minor problems with it(the main problem being the destructive rider). I still think they are extremely reliable because I have been terribly rough on it; running over small trees, drowning it in deep creeks and just being plain rough. It has never left me walking, though. I hauled a lean-to deerstand behind it that was so heavy I couldn't budge it myself, but the 300 hauled it up and down some washed-out cutovers. The 650 is definitely on my wishlist and I will own one this year.
p.s. Don't tell my wife I said that. I had to tell her something was wrong with my old one so now I need the 650.
I have 1,800 miles on mine. My speedometer doesn't work anymore, however. A limb fell out of a tree and landed perfectly between the handlebars. Just my luck.

I now have 2400 miles on my 99 400 4x4 and my dad has 2700 on his 99 300 4x4. He has had a little trouble with his, but nothing the extended warranty couldn't take care of. He also weighs close to 300#'s.
My 400 has been reliable, a lot more so than some of the other problems I hear people complaining about other manufacturers machines. It just seams to keep running like a new machine even though it's 2 years old with 2400 miles.
p.s. I ride it pretty hard, but that's what there for isn't it?
