Default Recent prices for new ATVs

I'm about to purchase my first new ATV, a 2009 Prairie 360. I've always purchased used ATVs and dirt bikes, using kbb.com as guide.
I'm not the best negotiator, always using GM employee pricing for new car purchases, thus avoiding the negotiating process.
This particular ATV is a brand new white 2009 Prairie 360 4x4 for $4600 out the door, including set up and paperwork. Any ideas on whether or not this is a good deal?

I've noticed that in this area people are asking over the kbb.com retail price for ATVs, although I'm not sure if they are getting these prices.

thanks

Its M.S.R.P. is $5,349.00 so $4600 OTD sounds fair.http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en...icleCode=88039

In Canada That ATV would be $7000 OTD.

I'd say have them throw in a helmet or two and run with it.. Sounds like a good deal.

Doesn't sound too bad. But I'd do like xcitmt says and see if they'll toss a pair in. At the worst, they say no and it's still not a bad deal.

That's a pretty good deal. Nice solid quad too.

NADA prices the one your looking at at $5364.95.

I paid $4800 for mine new out the door back in November. The dealer also gave me 15% off anything in the shop that day and 10% there after. I was looking at helmets but all of the ones I liked he didn't have in my size. I settled on a Tiny-Tach/Hoursmeter.

I can tell you this I went out trail ridding with my nephew and a couple of his buddies. They were on Raptors, I think one was a 400 and the other a 700 and my nephew was on a Honda Rancher. I had no problem keeping up through the woods, although I did have to duck more than they did. I also had to pull the 400 out of the mud twice.

I've plowed the neighborhood out 3 times now and the snow we got last Saturday morning was like plowing a Slurpee. The Prairie had no problem just put it in 4 wheel low and go.

Up until last weekend I thought the bike was pretty bullet proof. You've already read my post about the front differential Lock going out. From what I've been reading about these bikes I don't think this is a common problem.

Enjoy

Call some other dealerships to see if they will beat the price. If not buy it. If they do beat it go back to this dealership to see if they will beat the other places price.

Default going to buy it

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going about 3 hrs to pick it up. I'm thinking that it really depends on where you're located. Here in the Baltimore area I've heard that the local place doesn't budge from the retail and they slap on another $500 set up fee, which they say is mandatory.
Overall, I'm happy with the price but always get a little nervous when making a big ticket purchase.
I have a 2005 360 4x4. That's why i'm getting another one.
Lastly, there's a big price increase on the 2010 360 4X4. I'm not sure if this is across all manufacturers/models.
