Ethanol is less efficient than regular non-Ethanol gas. I noticed about a 10% drop in every vehicle I owned at the time when they switched over to the 10% garbage. So, we end up paying more in the long run and also paying more for food products that go towards creating ethanol. Gee, thanks....

 

But just think about how much you are saving Mother Earth.......... Oh, wait, it takes burning Diesel in the tractors that farm the land, 100's of thousands of gallons of water to grow the crops and those emission puking trucks to deliver the crops to the refineries.







So maybe NOT.

 

Don't forget the fertilizer for the crops.

I wish the retards that pushed this idea in had to come fix all the crap I've had to fix because of their crap fuel. And North Carolina does not even require a pump posting. So now I have to resort to "self-testing" for it.

I have rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel lines in everything I have because of it.
Even messed up the soles of a pair of shoes from stepping in it.

The stuff eats many rubber compounds.
And there is no such thing as fuel with ethanol that does not have water contamination.
The stuff attracts water... to the point it will absorb the humidity of the air inside your tank.


This is ethanol I drained from ONE tank into a 2 liter bottle.

The biggest problem I see with E10 is that water and alcohol are miscible (mixable) in all proportions. That is, 1 gallon of water will mix completely with 10000 gallons of alcohol, and vice versa. Anything that will mix this well with water I don't want in my fuel system. Ethanol will draw water out of the air, for instance, and it doesn't take much water to completely clog a jet. Or cause something to rust.
I have been messing with gasoline engines for probably 25 years now, and I have had more carburetor problems this year than in all other years combined. It may be coincidence, but I think its ethanol.
