Default changing the spark plug on a 2005 KFX 400

I just picked up a used KFX 400 and am not familiar with this bike. To all you experts out there I have a question. Do you have to take off the gas tank to change the spark plug? My bike needs a new plug. I don't know why kawasaki put the plug in such a tight space. Any help I would appreciate.

It can be done with the tank on but it is a huge pain and by the time you get it changed you might as well have took the tank off, keep in mind though if you have a buddy just hold the tank up a little after you have loosened all the bolts you dont have to remove the tank completly, it really dont take long and is pretty easy.

Ah, one of the penalties of a high performance dohc motor is the plug gets buried and access is tight. Luckily they don't need new plugs often.

Default Takin out the plug

If you have a socket wrench with pivot head it's pretty easy I also use one of those telescoping magnetic tools to pull plug once its loose. Hey I tried to post up if anyone knows the factory setting for the idle screw how many turns out, do you happen to know pizzle? Thanks
