I have a 2003 KVF 360 and I am having some problems. I just did over the front DIFF and when I reassembled the bike it now has problems. When I drive it and give it more than 1/4 throddle ( gas) it bogs out like it will not take the gas ( has no power).

I do have flashing belt light and 4x4 light. I had thease lights before the rebuild and did not have a problem with the bike bogging out. And I do have the service manual . I did the belt reset but still have the flashing lights. I was wondering if I can by pass the Belt indicator switch. As for the 4x4 light Does anyone know of a way to convert to a Cable shift 4x4 and get rid of the actuator.

I only had the bike a month and this electronic **** seems to be of no need. I dont care for a belt indicator light. And would like to make it a manual in and out 4x4.

 

So, there are two lights flashing - Belt and 4x4?
Is the switch inside the CVT housing flipped to OFF position?
Have you checked the 5 amp fuse for the belt switch line under the front rack?

 

Well , I can say that I was shocked that only one person replied and I would like to thank you very much for your help.

What I did end up finding on my own after many days of research and testing and retesting. I fully charged my Battery and then did the belt reset. It worked out this time. No more belt light and now have lots of power. I still have a 4x4 flashing light but the bike still goes in and out of 4x4.

MY NEW PLAN.....Get rid of KVF and purchase a HONDA!!!!!

 

When 4x4 light flashes, depending on the flashing interval time, it can mean either 4x4 or Engine Brake acutuator issue. Obviously since your 4x4 is working, the egnine brake actuator should be checked.
