Both of my accidents were dirtbike related. First was a bonehead maneuver on my part, trying to jump over a recently poured curbing in a new housing development. They hadn't back-filled it yet, so there was a fair gap between it and a pile of dirt. There wasn't enough room to get a straight-on run at it, so I tried to approach at a 45 degree angle. Nope. Caught the back tire on the curb, pitched me sideways, rag-dolled and ended up laying on my back on the left side of the bike. Result? Snapped fibula, right above the top of my boot. Second was a trip over the bars after slamming into a stump, hidden under some brush, smashing my left foot in the process. I was hard on the gas when I hit it, but it stopped the bike immediately, using my foot to cushion the blow. Result? 5 broken bones in my left foot. Both of these accidents happened within 6 months of each other, luckily neither required surgery, or even a cast. Got rid of the bike shortly thereafter, took a 2-year haitus, but I'm back riding now, sporting 2 Tecate-4's, and a 2001 WR250F. I can't give it up!!
