Really ok. Thanks for the info on the ramps. I also was looking at the idea of taking the lights out and using that location for the winch. Those led light/light bars can be pricey but man they can throw some light. Im definately going for the winch and ill figure out mounting

look on ebay for the lights.. you can get some good ones their for a good price.. As a temporary setup for your winch you can drill a few holes in it for a couple of shackles and just use a short tree save strap and then some quick connect electrical connectors. Thats basically what my winch is. Mine came in a bag that straps to the carriers.

If I ever get to where I'd even think of needing a winch that's what I'd get (the portable one) as I didn't like how the one I had on was (stuck out too far, winch didn't have a free release to pull out by hand). There's just nowhere but the front rack to hook onto the front of the Praire. As I said, they just didn't put any thought into what riders might need back then when designing.

As for the lights; I can count on one hand how many times I've needed to turn them on since I got it new. No upgrade needed for me LOL. I suppose if I did, I'd just swap the stock bulbs for LED ones.

Default fan/overheating

HI everyone,

Well I just got my carb back from shop in town..cleaned it up and did somewhat of a rebuild on it using a similar kit. Fired right up ran real nice. Now this is my first time driving it since I got it.

My concern now is the temp, when should the fan come on?, what should I look for? how can I test some of the components to the cooling system? I have one of those temp laser guns...I just dont want to stray too far from home to test and have it over heat. Should coolant circulate into res?

Any help much appreciated..hunting season is getting close!!

Only time my fan comes on is when I'm in lo range and putting around the trail. Go for a slow drive and see how she does
