No offense, but that mechanic ripped you off! 950 is way way over priced. You could rebuild the carbs for like 40 bucks with like an hour of time! That thing should be tuned perfectly and he should know how to do it for 950, otherwise he didnt do his job and I would demand my money back.

Haven't had ATV long. Was popping back through carbs,so took to a friend to clean them.Still popped back,so stupid me ran straight Seafoam in tank & let sit overnight.RAN WORSE!.
So,took to Kawasaki dealer to fix problem. After a month I get ATV back with a bill of $950.($575 in parts includes battery)
Now has gone back to how it was running when I bought it.Popping back through carb at 1/4-1/2 throttle & maybe higher.I trail ride & hunt & that's the RPM I mostly use.
The mechanic says that's normal on these models. That looks bad on Kawasaki.Who'se gonna buy an ATV that runs like that?

There are 2 fuel screws on the twin carbs which are capped off with epoxy like material (or aluminum plug) from the factory. Remove the cap using a drill bit w/o damaging the screw. Then turn CW slowly and gently until it bottoms out/stops. Then turn CCW about 2 and 1/2 turns and stop on BOTH fuel screws.

Your carbs are running too lean at the mid-range.

Guess I need to find a mechanic that doesn't work for Kawasaki.
I have to say, what they told me makes no sense. What good is an ATV if you can't run it slow without the motor popping?
Have sent dealer a letter saying am VERY upset of how ATV is running.Says right on work order"GET RUNNING CORRECT"
