Default dynojet kit in kawasaki lakota 300? anyone?

ive been eyeing them ...wondered if its much to it and worth it. seems i have a carb issue anyhow. it starts and runs fine as long as I do it every few days.

the dynojet kit says it will make it run better.

Save your money and get this good Japanese carb rebuild kit.Shindy Carb Carburetor Repair Kit for Kawasaki KEF300 95 03 03 118 | eBay Imo you're paying mainly for the titanium needle in the Dynojet kit. Jets sizes are marked with their own numbering system, not the oem size.

I've installed dyno jet kits for people and even for my son on some of his earlier street bikes and really didn't notice any difference in performance. You won't especially if you keep the oem air filter and exhaust system.Plus I wouldn't expect a 300 to become a fire breathing atv. The Shindy kits aren't cheap Chinese carb kits, are made in Japan and equivalent to expensive oem parts. Who knows they may even make carb parts for Mikuni and Keihin carbs who dominate the industry. Again just my two cents on this.. Plus you just get the needle and main jets on the dyno jet. On the Shindy you get the main and pilot jets, needle and seat, new slide needle, fuel screw,o-rings and gaskets to completely rebuild one.

Never used a dynojet kit and would probably rely on old Polaris's recommendation, but I will just throw this out there...when I had my Praire300 I used a kit by UNI, the same people that make the air filters and it worked great. Had all the jets new needle, told you how to change the little spacer clip and all the gaskets for a complete rebuild. I have no idea if they are still availiable or not, nor do I know what the price would be nowadays. I just know that that kit worked well in 2001.

The Shindy kit is a complete rebuild kit for your ATV carb....and comes with the stock jets. You can find the Shindy kits from $20 to $25 on ebay, free shipping. Unless you do some mods ( not just an air filter ), the Dynajet kit is a waste of bucks.....And, their jet numbering system is diff from OEM as OPT mentioned and for us "old" tuners, it's just plain confusing to use anything other than OEM type jetting.
