Fairly sure it didn't. Most bikes have a strainer inside the tank, attached to the tap, but dirty fuel and rust particles in steel tanks can cause problems that the tank filter doesn't catch, so many owners stick an in-line filter on as well.

Think i may have found the fuel leak...
A 1/8" hole drilled into the tank and filled with JB Weld!

Getting closer to officially calling it alive. Went out for 1/4+- mile down the gravel and no steering problems do to the wider flat tires on the front.
Now to change the oil in the final gear case and hope the aftermarket air filter box gets here and fits.

Was thinking about Not changing the oil in the final gear. The cold plays hell with my bum leg. its simple to get down on the ground to do it but getting back up is another story. LOL But am dam glad i did do it.
The water and dirt had some oil in it.

Got the back brake shoes on today and was pleasantly surprised. After seeing the oil that came out of the final gear i figured the brake would be full of dirt and rust. Butt all i found was badly worn brake shoes and dust...
