I took the carb back off today and took the bowl off.
found two problems...
needle had a tiny piece of debris on the tip (in the picture)
AND the float has fuel inside of it, so it’s not floating -_-
luckily i kept my old carb. I’m swapping out the floats now

1st thing i would do is make sure the gas cap vent is not plugged up.

the vent tube coming out of the gas cap?
it’s running better now. I decided to check the valves with a feeler gauge. Adjusted the screw on the bottom of the carb beside the bowl (idr the name of the screw, but from what i read it said to turn it all the way in then back it out 5 turns)
ran GREAT and rode for a while. I came to a stop a few times and it shut off on me a couple times. Fired right back up after it cut off on me though

...yes sometimes when the "gas cap vent" is plugged it will stall do to a vacuum in the tank. Thin after pressure equalizes it will run once again.

try adjusting that screw while running, typical adjustment is 1 1/2 - 3 turns out. Adjust in small turns and wait for engine to settle b4 making another adjustment. Add an inline fuel filter if you can. Tiney dirt particles can cause plenty of issues.
