Default Crankshaft and piston rod

So i purchased a good used bottom end (after mine started to make a noise from the bottom end. I think i spun a rod bearing).
is it normal for the piston rod to have some movement. I know it’s not suppose to be tight or extremely loose

There should be no noticeable up down play in the con rod bearing. Fairly rare for this to happen on quads, particularly air cooled ones, as the big end bearings are usually beefy rollers, and the piston seizes if the engine gets short of oil, before the big end runs dry.

Default Shifting problem

I change the centrifugal clutch and clutch pack.
but now it shifts a little funny.
it will go into neutral and reverse...
but it seems like the shift pattern may be off. I’ll start in first and shift up and it seems to go to neutral. Also when in Neutral, the Neutral light comes on now and then, same for when going into reverse
