Bayou 400 Fan sensor not kicking on fan
Hello world of ATV users, the fan sensor on the radiator does work I tested it for continuity as well as in a pot of boiling water with the wires connected and it kicked the fan on and off.
Now i have it in the radiator, filled rad and reservoir and it doesn't seem to want to kick the fan on. Ran the ATV for 10-15 Radiator is hot to the touch.Just put a new cylinder and piston on so
i am very skeptical about overheating it. Temp light has not come on yet, brand new water sensor, but again skeptical. Other than running it longer to get it hotter i don't see any other possible issues.
Thank you in advance for any help and advice. Happy Ridding

If the fan kicks in when the sensor is in boiling water outside the rad, it is going to kick in when in boiling water inside the rad. I too hate to let a bike sit, trusting the fan will kick in before it overheats. Had a Honda 420 with an intermittent fault that causes it to stop and refuse to start, then after a while the fault goes off. The boss had me run it at idle for 4hrs last week and it took ages before the fan came on, then only for a few seconds at a time. Fault never did come on.
