Default Busted drive converter assembly main bolt

Anyone pulled this stunt? Was changing belt on my 2004 Prairie 360 4x4, In a moment of Fog Brain, forgot the bolt (part # 92151) securing the drive converter was LH thread. Long story short, busted bolt inside housing, what I have is a bolt with about 1/8 " of threads left, the rest is in housing.
Before I just start tearing things apart, was wondering if anyone had any insight or words of wisdom on how I should proceed? Thanks

Parts drawing doesn't make clear what the bolt threads into. Nor if the broken bit is easy to get at. So, as I don't know the Prairie I can only suggest standard ways of removing a broken bolt/stud. If a bit is sticking out, put vice grips on and turn, as it broke because of over-tightening rather than being seized in the hole, it may wind out. If it is level with the shaft it is in, you have to either knock it round with a centre punch, or put a punch mark DEAD CENTRE in the bolt and drill into it. As easy outs won't work on LH threads, you may be able to use a small torx or spline bit, drill size a midge smaller than the bit's outside dia, then knock the bit into the hole you have drilled and try to turn the broken bolt out. If that doesn't work, drill the hole to tapping size and, if you did get the hole bang on centre, you are left with a helix which you can get out of the hole, then run a LH thread tap down the hole to clean it up.

Thanks for the response.
At this point I cannot see the busted stud remnant, its buried approximately 6" into the drive converter assembly. If I can get the assembly off I hope I can get to the busted remnant to try some of the suggestions you provided.
Thanks Again.

Default Busted drive converter assembly main bolt Thread Pitch

Got the busted stuff out!
Now, I am getting conflicting info on the clutch bolt thread pitch, one source states M12-1.25, another M12-1.75,
as I need to order a L handed tap to clean up threads, this has to be exact.
Anyone know what is correct?
Thanks

Almost all M8 bolts are 8 x 1.25 so get an 8mm bolt and lay it against the bit of thread left on the broken bolt, my guess is it will match in pitch. Metric stuff is a bit tricky, as standard M12 is 1.75 but makers often use 1mm, 1.25mm or 1.5mm depending on what suits their purpose best, but for some reason M8s are almost always 1.25.
