oil leak on 650 prairie
#1
My 650 prairie which only has 60 miles on it is leaking oil from some where. Has any one else had this problem with there 650 paririe? Looks like it is coming from the rear of the motor iam going to take it back to the dealer sometime this week to see what's wrong with it.

well my dealer has had my 650 for a week now and still is not done. also, there is a bad clicking noise when it's in low range and when i am driving and letting off the gas. The mechanic said it was not a normal sound so they are looking at that too. kinda sucks only owned the four wheeler for a week and a half.

Now have 14 hours and 94 miles on mine with no apparent problems except somewhat hard starting when it is warmed up. HOWEVER, just got a recall letter from Kawasaki saying not to ride mine anymore until the rear axle is replaced with one that has been properly heat treated. Do you reckon that Kawasaki will extend the warranty for the time it is down waiting for a new axle. GeeBee

I don't know GeeBee if they would extend your warranty on it wouldn't hurt to see if they would or not.I haven't had any problems when it is warm to start it up but I have noticed when it is cold it sputters when u first drive it till motor warms up.

Just picked mine up tuesday night and have put about 50 miles on it so far.Only problem i have is digital dash wont work, L.E.D. burned out or something.I have new one on order.I heard people mention the front end making a whining noise when the locker is used but mine seems to be very quiet.I love the power and 2-4 wheel drive shifting.I am graduating from a Lakoda so it is an awsome step up.It is also very smooth in acceleration.
