Has anyone had any problems with their SuperTrapp Race series on a Lakota. Mine seems as if it is just a tad bit short. The binding where you slip the megaphone to the head pipe shows a little bit of an opening, and that will cause it to have a leak. I don't know if is the pipe or the way I am installing it. Please help me out.

Let me know if you had problems or maybe how to fix them.

I put one on thursday, and can't wait to call super trapp!
i installed the head pipe , then the megaphone (with the megaphone just barely enough to cover the slits) then the silencer (wich just berely enough to cover the slits again)
I used the back bolt hole on the frame and don't see how you can use the front bolt hole sense the megaphone is hard against the frame.
I had to go out of town for school, but intend on calling super trapp monday!

Gaff:

Thats the same thing that happened to me. I can't find a way to cover all of the slits. Is it supposed to be like this, dose it matter if there is a little leak in it? My whitebros leaks just a little, but I would guess that all the slits are supposed to be covered because it says that in the instructions. I don't know I'll have to wait and see what SuperTrapp says.

If anyone has a suggestion please let us know.

i WAS ABLE TO USE THE CLAMPS TO COVER THE EXPOSED AREAS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, BUT STILL DON'T FEEL THIS IS RITE.
( sorry about the caps lock)
I printed the atv connection up grade and it has the back bolt hole utillized as well and the tail pipe exits at about the same distance.
Don't get me wrong here I love the power gain!!!!!!!!!!
I am a very experienced hop up man (mostly street bikes though) and this would be my first installation of a after market system that worked out like this.
The exhaust leak will cause back firing if you come off of the throttle, wich I've experienced. But I took atv connections suggestion of one more turn outy of the air mixture screw ( if you have the jet kit this will be three and a half turns out) and this cured the back firing so far.
I have not run the bike other than in my yard so far, but tomorrow I plan on getting out of school early and going to the track and put it through the test.
Sorry I can't give you more, But I have school for two more days!

Bigbad400:

I do own both the Lakota and Mojave. I think the whitebros might fit on the Lakota but I don't know if you should put it on because it was made for the Mojave. I don't know how well it will work, if it does go on I'm not sure because I have never tried it.

Peace

Hey guys,

You should try and get some pics of your super trapped Lakota's up. I have a super trap on my 99 Wolverine and I love it. Sounds good, not sure if it enhanced performance alot but I know I'm faster and snappier low end than lots of other 4by's. I bought it modified accept for some things that I added myself. I'd like to see some pics of them Lakota's so find a digital camera and postem' up here..

I've called super trapp and they took a message.

I had talked to super trapp and they have told me to return the system so they could re-quality control the system.
I told them hell no, I like the way my bike runs just fr two hundred plus dallors I expected a little better quality.
I also instructed her that the intermediate pipe was the problem and seemed to be to short.
She said to use some high temp rtv for the leaks and any problems I had just call them back!

I had also told her about you guys and you may be calling, she said she was going to go to quality control as soon as she got off the phone and see if they can find some thing!

Well this is what I had found out I just don't want to send my pipe back!
I would suggest every one who has a fit problem to call it in!!!
