I was going to get my wife a 650 but she said it was to big and to fast So I was thinking about the new 360 prairie when it comes out. You guys and gals out there that have the 300 tell me about them.
She is only 5'2" 115lb will this be a good ride for her? The big question will it haul my dads 220lb butt around (dad and I are planning a few trips)I dont have any thing to compare with I have only owned sportsman 500ho and the 650. Any and all input wellcome.

I think I would get the 360 also, due to the fact that I have a 650. I think the 360 having features similar to a 650 will make it a better choice than the 300 or 400. It shifts and stops a little better, plus the 4x4 features are nicer.
However, my brother has a 400 and it is a really great machine. If you can find a good deal on a 400, get it. But if you go new, the 360 would be my choice.

Thanks guys looks like the wife is going to get a 360 in the spring. Man I wish they were here now. You know if the sooner I get the wife to riding that just means more riding for me

Yea, I got a 300. If does a good job of halling my fat a$$ around, 6'4" 270. On our deer lease there is 2-300, 1-400, 1-650 (all prairies) and a magnum 325. So far there has been no obstical that the 650 could go thru that the others couldn't. The 300 amazes me everytime I try to push it to what I believe its limit is. My perseption of its limits gets pushed up. The only exception is top speed. I have had it to indicated 50mph.
This weekend we were at the lease. It is lumber land. When they came in and harvested last time, the took out every other row. The left all the tops and limbs of the pine trees in the skid trails. We used these trails to make about a 2 mile trail. It took us about an hour to go thru this 'trail' going over piles the hole way. The one exception was a creek crossing. About 30 deg going down and 45 deg going up. It pulled me thru without any trouble.
Having said that, I would not buy the first year of a new model.

I sold my Bayou 300 and bought a AC 250 4x4. Before buying the cat I looked at everything under the sun. I test rode all the big bores and fell in love with the 650. But the price was way to high for me considering I got a truck payment and school loans to pay. I personally like wheelers in the 300 to 400 range due to their reasonable prices and good overall performance. Now Kawi comes up with a wheeler with all the features I want and the looks of the 650. Who knows maybe I'll come back to the Kawi family.

I am in the same sort of delema. After buying an auto quad with out a trans/engine braking system(the TrailBoss) I would never do it again. The thing requires severe brake use downhilling or it basically goes into a neutral/freewheeling mode. I really want the 650, but I dont really need it's $6,500- $7,000 price or all it's power, although it would be nice. I was considering all the manual shift options and now the 360 comes along with all the essential features minus the V-Twin. 4X4 selectable, diff lock, wet braking, KEBC, and all of this in a nice looking package. I figure I'll wait until spring when I plan on buying and make my decision from there. After all, there is a little Timmy the tool man Taylor in me that says ...arrr arrr arrr, V-Twin Power!!!!
