When I'm in the snow or mud and shift from two wheel drive to 4 wheel drive it goes in with a clunk when I start to move and then slips in and out a few times before it will stay in 4X4. Does this happen to anyone else ? It doesn't seem like it should be normal. Also when I was in deep snow the other day the front end seemed to slip when I hit solid ground.

Sorry I don't have anything to offer on the 4x4 problem. How much snow can you go through in 2wd, how much in 3wd, and how much in 4wd. Any other snow related performance information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I once got stuck in a mud hole while in 2wd. I switched to 4x4 and the quad would continuously switch in an out of the 4x4. I guess that you have to put it in 4x4 ahead of time so it can properly engage.

Hi guys. New member with a 650 on order. Put the downpayment on it last friday. Can,t pick it up til mid Feb. so guess I'll just have to listen to how much fun you guys are havin!! When you guys are having trouble with gettin it in 4x4, have you tried putting it in reverse and back up a few feet? That would take the pressure off the gears and allow them to slip into place. Had an old chevy 4x4 that required this technique. Try it and let me know.
