bought a 2002 prairie 300 4x4 feb 5 it has 51 miles on it and the spark plug keeps fouling out. I was up in the woods and it would not idle and sometimes it would idle real high. Now the brake light stays on even though the brakes are released. it would not start yesterday but i got it started today. Will the dealer fix these problems even if it did get mud all over it, and has any one else had this problem with a kawasaki.

it sounds like your running it with the choke on or it is possibly sticking. the brake light should be an adjustment. check the brake pedal there is a small spring attached to it for the brake light and it should all be covered under warranty. hope this helps you. rob

Just remember to hand wash the fourwheelr before you take it in. They like to work on clean quads. I would get any bugs worked out before the 6 month warranty runs out.
Just for a piece of mind, my dad has over 3600 miles on his 99 300 4x4 and it still running strong.

hey robbieg, i took it to the dealer this afternoon they talked like they would cover it. They already found the problem with the spark plug fouling, the choke was stuck on. As for the brake light the dealer said they could adjust it. thanks for the info, i was afraid at first that i had bought a lemon.

The same thing happened to my Dad's Prairie. We noticied it during hunting season and just thought the bulb had burned out. After getting home we decided to replace it and noticed that it had melted the housing. The warranty was expired by then.

The light is not a new problem. I just ordered a full assembly for my bro inlaws 2000 prairie. You could smell his cooking while riding.
