I've hit 61 on mine with the 27" tires and Big Gun exhaust. Got up to 68 on stock. I'm only 165 lbs. Might make a difference.

I changed my oil, filter, front and rear differentials. I put Racing 50 weight in the differentials and it seemed to make my mid range kick up. I hit 62 mph on top end, which is 1mph faster than before my fluid changes.

Anybody else got some speeds or some comments on what to use in the front and rear differentials.

Longarm.

I find it amazing that we own the fastest, quickest, and most tricked out ATV out there...and it runs 70+ mph...and we still try to make it faster!

Oh well!!

Longarm, make sure you use the correct oil in the rear differential. There is a "wet brake" in there and it requires a special Gear and Wet Brake oil. I've heard from numerous sources it's very important for the life of your rear brake.

64mph stock everything. It isn't the fastest one out there, but it's one of them.

As far as the rear differential, the mechanic at the dealership said to use that if I was trying to drag race other quads. It has the specifications that the service manual states that the differentials needs.

I still want a little more power. I am really looking into the bigger tires and I dont want to go any slower when a buddy comes up beside me and wants to see what mine will do against his. I love walking away from other quads. I have 3 buddies that have Polaris 500 H.O.s and I guess that they think that one day, my 650 will actually lose one of their challenges. I am bigger than all of them and I had a prarie 300 before and they enjoyed kicking sand up in my face when they sucked the stickers off mine while passing my slower 300. They all tried to talk me into getting a 500 H.O. I know why too. So my larger size on an equal quad as theirs would still mean kicking sand in my face. Now they get some payback......and I giggle every time I slow down and look back at them and see the look on their face.......

Addicted.......LONGARM.....

AMEN Longarm! I to a few buddies like that too. Although we have never raced yet, they said I had better get a SP700 as thay state that is the only quad that could beat em. I do have a cousin with a Polaris too. He has never even heard of the 650 as there are no Kawi dealerships in the sparce, desolate, western, ND where I frequent a lot. I am not talkin smack to them, just keeping a tight lip, until race day comes; at it is coming!
