New belt on my 650 after 225 miles
#1
I rode my 650 over the weekend and had had enough of hearing the squeeling noise. I took it back to my dealer and they said that on one side of the belt, it was "glazed". They said that they replaced it and that fixed the problem. I asked if they had to make any adjustments so it wouldnt happen again in another 225 miles. "No,,,we just put on a new belt." That didnt make alot of sense to me, but what do I know, I am no mechanic.
I bought a hitch ($31.00) and tried to get them to put it on while they had it in their shop. Sure, we will install it for 36 dollars, plus tax. When I bought the 650, they didnt have any in stock. I told them that I had to wait on the hitch and they ought to have included the installation of the hitch I bought with my original purchase. No,,,we cant do that after you have taken the machine home and have had it for a month. Thats how long it took for them to get a hitch. I took it home, and installed it myself after having to straighten it out, because it was bent from what appeared to be from someone dropping it on the floor.
Dealers are your best friend until they get that big lump of cash, then, they seem to care less about customer service.
Sometimes, I just dont get it.
