New Lakota
#11
02akotaOhio,
I have a 2001 Lakota Sport I bought new last year. I have the same upgrades you purchased. I started with 8 disks then went to 10 disks and now I run 12 disks and the #134 jet. I also removed the black rubber cap that fits over the top of the air intake near the headlight. It helped quite a bit in getting more airflow. You will also want to back out your air/fuel mixture screw about 2.75 to 3 turns depending (stock is 2.5 turns out). Because the intake is under the front hood, it is still protected form rain and mud. If water does enter, there are several water catches where the water can be drained(little black tubes hanging down). I like the Twin Air filter as well. It fits well and is easy to clean. The 13 tooth front sprocket makes a big difference with the rest of the modifications. If I had to guess, I would say go with the #134 jet, 10-12 disks and keep the air filter clean. Also a suggestion. I checked my valves after 15 hrs and they needed an adjustment. I have adjusted them several times in the last 8 months. It is important to check the valves more often when the motor is new. Also, adjust your clutch after 15-20 hours as well. It is very easy. My Lakota is running great right now and is night and day from stock. Good Luck
