I have a shifting problem with my mojave. I dont know if it is just me, but when i try and shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear, sometimes it goes right to Neutral. I always use the clutch. The only way it seems to shift is when i give it gas, shift and hold in the clutch at the same time. My friends have also tried it and experience the same problem i do. Can someone please tell me what is going on. My mojave is a 2001.
THANKS.

Our 97 Mohave shifted like crap. Real tough to go from gear to gear
Other board members advised me to replace the shift cam, stopper lever, and shift pawl. With a manual it was an easy job. With parts, clutch cover and water pump cover gaskets came to like 65.00$ now it shifts fine

hope this helps

I agree totally on the fix for this.

I have found this is not due to shifting without a clutch or anything like that, but by trying to down shift hard or to many gears at one time. It's funny how having four kids you can learn alot
