prairie 650 gear clatter
#1
one of my friends took my 650 for a ride and he took off really fast right after i had started it and he put it in low gear and the gears started grinding and clattering. i stopped him and drove it around a little in low and it has never comeback since. anyone know anything about this or what it could have been?

Man Packardbell15, you're getting plenty of threads going on this one. Here is a post I did a while back when I had the same deal.
<< had the chattering problem start today. I pulled the top cover and adjusted the linkage and it solved the problem for now. We'll see how long it stays where it belongs.
To adjust the linkage, I started the P650 with it in neutral and adjusted it till the green light when out. Then I backed the adjust me off just until the light came back on. I put it in reverse and it adjusted until the light was on. If you look in the the CVT through the vent you can also see how the pulley responds to the adjustments.
