Just a quick ? about switching to the "black" spring. I live at high elevation and my 650 was rejetted for it, as well as having the springs in the transmission replaced for elevation. Are these the same springs that are replaced for better performance? If not, do I need to use a different one to get it to work with the high elevation springs???

AJ, your best bet is to phone the guys at Erlandson Performance and ask them. They can give you the answer you are looking for. I was riding my 650 at 8000 feet last weekend and had no problem with the black spring in there. It worked flawlessly. In the service manual it says you can shim the spring for operation at higher elevations, but that is for the stock spring.
