The Rincon is one bad piece of junk..sorry about the catchy title. I finally got some real seat time on the rincon ..it absolutly SUCKS..that transmission is total BS, yea it rides like a cadilac but thats all it has going for it. the motor is typical honda..slug in low revs and takes an hour to wind up..pushrod two valve ANCIENT technology motor..glids across bumps nice..pay attention to what your doing tho cause that tranny will KILL you if you start daydreaming..I know this will start a war but the honda is no match for the p650 ..yes its nearly as fast but dont kid yourself it just isnt made for the sporty scene like the Prairie..my 650 with its new Bearclaws will sling mud 30 feet without so much as a hicup..that rincon could hardly thro mud w/its stock tires 10 feet..man am I glad i didnt go w/that thing..I would be really disappointed!! oh BTW..after i rode mine with the new 'claws then rode my bros w/stockers HERES WHAT I FOUND OUT...THOSE TIRES ARE DANGEROUS THEY WILL INJURE YOU..REPLACE THEM ASAP!!!!!! AND THIS IS ALL MY OPINION SO NOBODY GET THERE PANTIES IN A BUNCH..!!!!!!!!!!

correct Edge..there is no "back pressure" against you or the engine in the form of engine break, when you let off the gas it acts just like a car..IE it continues to go at the speed you let off at..with no break applied it will coast like that for several seconds..if you are fast trailing or going downhill you better be wide awake.

I hope this corrects any misunderstanding Master...I appologize for my lack of vision......LOL

OK Polaris became the second largest ATV maker and never had engin breaking. In fact no one ever complained about it until Yam came out with it then no one could ride anymore without it????
I race all my life on 2 strokes and there is no engine braking there either. I think most of you need to learn to ride or something.

If it has gears then in a way it does have a engine brake with an auto you can not down shift to slow it down it starts to free wheel like if you where trying to go down a steep hill in nuetral.

No this tranny is just like your car..let off the throttle and it free wheels..and yes I have rode all sorts of bikes and quads over the last 20+ years...and when polaris used there auto trannys they still gave you some amount of "backpressure" to feel that there was some kind of resistance to your momentum... let of and slow down..kinda like the laws of physics...ya know..gravity??
