bbertram: I bought mine 13 months ago and have 3000miles on the odometer so far. The problems that I have had with it so far is a vey minor coolant leak, the coke cable (very minor) and that is it so far. The machine is very reliable and a joy to ride, everything works just like the day I bought it even after 3000 miles . You will have to keep the belt deflection religiously on specs if you want to get the best performance on this machine, that is an item of maintenance that you have to keep on top of.....MJSTX

I bought mine at "Pardy's Recreation and Marine" IN Marystown,Newfoundland. My good friend owns the dealership so I got a good deal. I can't come right out and tell you...but basically I got about $1000.00 worth of accessories for free and paid the sale price on the bike. His dealership is 3 hours drive away from me. The KVF650(as it's known as here in the GREAT NORTH) regularly retails for $10300.00 + tax. I have seen it on sale for $8999.00 + tax. (WITHOUT WINCH)...$9299.00 + tax (WITH WINCH). My bike hasn't seen a dealership yet and has 1200kms (Very Agressive kms) on it.I am ordering a set of Kenda Bearclaws this evening(26-9-12 ,26-12-12) I can't wait...This bike is MAD,MAD,MAD!!! I have , since buying this quad...gotten to drive a few machines and I really don't think there has been anything built that can do for me the things this quad does. It is awsome...bite the bullet, sell your bike privately (you will get more $$$ for it) and buy the Kawi with no payments,no interest for one year...then put whatever you sell yours for, down on the weapon. Good luck.

Brent I sent you a message earlier but incase you read this first you might want to veture to Alberta. Last years bike with winch 8600, this years with winch 9600 plus GST no sales tax. You can probably dicker on the price and get a better deal in person. You pop out this way I will even put you up for the night might even take you for a ride give let you take the Green Machine for a run. I think you are hooked on a Kawi I can sense the anticipation. Have fun.

Oh I forgot to mention I have run my bike in -50C with no problems that also means brakes. With my Honda when in the cold drums get wet and I park the bike the breaks freeze up. To get it going I have to heat the drums or something will break.

Where: PJ recreation, ColdBrook NS, Price: I think about 10400 with tax Like: LIKE LOVE LIKE climate: great the front brakes can get ice build up thats all. downside is when you get stuck in snow plan to wait until spring to get it out or have a helicopter at hand, or just don't get it stuck and ease the gas on the loose stuff and use front brake a little when starting. I don't like the 25" mudrunners in the deep stuff.

Picked mine up in Sturgeon Falls (Ontario). Cost just under $13,000 (taxes and all), but got a truckload of toys right off the bat. Dealer was great, and has been giving me $$$ breaks on everything since, too. He even bought back the factory DunFlop tires at $50 a piece, and since my BearClaws were back-ordered, he let me run the factory ones in the meantime.
Climate wise, no worries.
I run with 2 other 650s, and none of us would trade or sell 'em for any other quad out there.

You should see me on my 500i in snow with my Outlaws!! I dig to china. If I can touch bottom I'll make it out but if I can't I'm screwed. One time I dug for 4 hours by hand, no shovel, to get my quad unstuck from a big drift. My stock tires do so much better in snow than my big tires, you stay right on top of the snow and if you make a mistake and spin to much your not in trouble like that big tires.

Hey Bbertram:
I just bought 2 02 650's about a month ago in Calgary. $9000 plus gst, winch included. I've got 800 kms on mine and have had no probs. In fact just got back from a Moose hunting trip and it was awesome. The stock tires suck. As mentioned get something else for rubber. My only other complaint and it is a minor one is the rad. If it gets dirty or mud in it the fan seems to go constantly. We were up in northern Alberta where temps are fairly close to zero and the bloody fan was still going on all the time. Had to remove the plastic in the wheel well and clean off the crap that was blocking the rad. I guess you just have to keep an eye on this or get the heat fighter kit.
