Default finally. my epi red spring has arrived

scram500,

the red spring in the drive pulley allows the belt to engage much faster. For most of us, too fast. If you rock crawl, it would not be a very good idea unless you like laying on you back with an atv on top of youl.

The red spring on this post is the secondary spring for a "360"...

Default finally. my epi red spring has arrived

Scram500, actually the red spring delays the engagement. I makes the rpm's increase before the belt engages. Its like reving up a manual clutch atv and "popping" the clutch on it. When it takes off it really takes off. Only places I dont think it belongs is farming and rock crawling. For anything else it is great. Some people dont like the engagement but once you get used to it, its great.
