belt squeal

Default belt squeal

i noticed the belt started to squeal yesterday. i measured the deflection today and it came out to be
1 3/8" can someone convert that to mm for me. thanks!

1.375x25.4=34.925 mm

Spec, according to Nyroc is 22 to 27mm

wow, im that off! im thinking that ill take the bigger of the shims out, does that sound right or should i take them all out? thanks

Kingmort is correct on the specs and the manual states that a 0.1mm decrease in spacer thickness should decrease deflection by 1.3mm. You need to lower deflection by 13mm to get to the lower end of that spectrum so remove 1.0mm of spacers.

if i take off slow. its most noticeable in low gear. its kind of a duller noise then the kebc motor kicking in, it did it right before the kebc kicked in
