Default Mouse had a taste for wires

I've never seen anything like this. I pulled off my seat and noticed that some wires were missing insulation. First thing I thought was they were rubbing on something causing the insulation to wear off. I looked closer and noticed that not only the wires were worn, but chunks of plastic missing from the fuse box. I'm so mad. I know it must have been a mouse because there's mouse $hit. Luckily it looks like I just have to replace the fuse box and short pack of wires off it. Frustrating.

Default Mouse had a taste for wires

I have never been able to see what mice like about wires, I have had my days with them to. they get in to my house a/c unit in the backyard, I caulked up all the holes and even sprayed WD40 on every thing to make it "distasteful" but they came right back and chewd up some more wires and peed on all the circut boards, cost big$$$$ to repair, and this year I already took the cover off, and they were back again.someone told me to use silicone caulk mixed with steel wool, and they wouldn't chew through. any Ideas would be helpful at this point. thanks Yetti

Place a bars of Irish Spring hand soap around. For some reason mice hate the smell of that soap and stay away.

I got the replacement fuse box in from ronayers. It was pretty cheap. I think it was less than $15 and came with all the fuses. Luckily I don't think the mouse got at the main wiring harness, because the main wiring harness is several hundred dollars!
